It appears Bankston Boyz racing is on a mission; their objective is winning the 2009 ADRL Pro Nitrous championship. On March 5th, the Bankston Boyz race team will be pulling in to Houston Raceway Park for the ADRL Safety-Kleen Dragpalooza V. Even though Mother Nature prevented this team from testing as much as they would have liked, they still like their odds on getting all 3 cars qualified. This team knows not to bring a butter knife to a gunfight and the bullets they have between the frame rails prove it. At last year's LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals, the Bankston Boyz racing team qualified all 3 cars; Tim Savell was #8, 4.022@181.25, Stan Allen #10, 4.030@186.48 and new teammate John DeFlorian #12 with a 4.046 @ 182.85. 1st round of eliminations found Tim & Stan shutting off after doing their burnouts due to mechanical gremlins, while John lost to Burton Auxier 4.02 to 4.09. Running 4.09 with sparks in the cockpit, albeit in a losing effort, still gave John reason to smile. Knowing you have the power to be competitive in the ADRL Pro Nitrous series is enough to make any driver smile.
