Bankston Boyz win the 2009 BankPlus Carshow in Jackson, MS Things are busy here around the shop in preparation for the 2009 ADRL race season. Many of our team members are working hard in the off-season with everything from physical conditioning to soliciting sponsorships. After a grueling two days in Orlando, FL at the annual PI Show, drivers Stan Allen and John Deflorian, Jr. and entourage, came home with new contacts and some limited sponsorship for all three Pro-Nitrous, Michael Bankston entries. Stan Allen's ride has been thoroughly gone over with a fine tooth comb and several discoveries were made that would explain a lot of the tire shake issues encountered in the 2008 season. The Reher-Morrison 820 CI motors were pulled and freshened up over the off-season and are ready for testing beginning in January at Capital City Dragway in Baton Rouge, LA. After completion of the Battle of the Belts at Dallas last fall, Michael Bankston decided that he was going to change the look of the '68 Camaro that Stan drives. Just out of the paint shop Michael Bankston's '68 Camaro SS was entered into the Bank Plus Car Show in Jackson, MS on January 3rd, 2009 and won best of show! The new look for 2009 is sure to have heads turning! So with that we must say goodbye to the ole fan favorite pearl white Camaro with the traditional blue rally stripes.
