An early morning decision was made by Michael Bankston to make the short trek down to No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA on Saturday February 7th, 2009 in order to get in some testing prior to the ADRL season opener in Houston, TX. The day was perfect for testing with the track opening at 4:00 for professional test and tune under a clear sky and mid 70 degree temperatures. The staff at No Problem Raceway had the track surface prepped and ready for action on time allowing the fun to begin!

Both of Bankston Boyz Racing's Tim McAmis, 68 Camaros made the short ride down from the stables in Terry, MS for the test and tune. John De Florian, Jr's Jerry Haas 06 Corvette was returned to the Haas shop in Missouri earlier in the week for the installation of a new powerplant and was unable to attend this test and tune session. As of testing time the new Reher-Morrison motor was being installed and will be ready for testing in Valdosta, GA next weekend.

The haulers were parked and cars were placed on the Pro- Jacks and preparations were made to the cars. Tim Savell's 68 Camaro was overseen by crew chief Bill Banaka who was in rare form this day! Stan Allen's 68 Camaro was prepared for a test hit and was overseen by crew chief Mike Bankston who was calm and relaxed. Both cars were ready and in the staging lanes around 5:30 for the first of several test hits for the night.

The temperature at 5:30 was 67 degrees and the corrected air checked in around 900 feet leaving little doubt about being able to build enough power. Both of the cars blew the hides off the tires about 75 to 100 feet out, seems as if they overpowered the track. After a short turn around both cars were returned to the line after being softened up and Stan Allen got out a nice half track run that reflected a soft .104 sixty foot time. Tim Savell got into tire shake and clicked it. By the time the night was completed we had dialed in the cars with a respectable 2.68 second 330' run!

We are excited about coming to Valdosta and South Georgia Motorsports Park this weekend from the 12th through the 15th of February.
