Michael Bankston addresses plans for the '09 David Janes Camaro

6 January 2010 – Terry, MS

Michael Bankston announced today the recently purchased ’09 David Janes ‘68 Camaro, formerly owned by Shannon Jenkins, will be run under the colors of Speedtech, Reher-Morrison, and Al-Anabi for the 2010 ADRL season. The alliance Michael has with Shannon goes back quite some time, “We consider him and Heath (Jenkins) like family and there is not a thing I wouldn’t do for them.” With a statement as strong as that it becomes obvious to the amount of respect Michael has for “The Iceman”. Heath Jenkins will have a greater presence in our pits for the 2010 season with emphasis on refreshing and rebuilding the Reher-Morrison powerplants. The car will be piloted by veteran driver and 2009 Pro-Nitrous winner Stan Allen. Bankston Boyz Racing will also have the new of Reher-Morrison 5.3 bore space motor in the Janes Camaro piloted by Stan Allen, the ZO6 Jerry Haas Corvette piloted by John DeFlorian will remain with the 5.2 bore space Reher-Morrison, and the McAmis Camaro will be on the trailer and race ready with another 5.2 Reher-Morrison between the frame rails. Just having a steed as strong as the McAmis Camaro in the trailer certainly paid off in Ennis, TX this past fall and is an option this team likes. It is critical to note that only the David Janes Camaro will be running the Al-Anabi colors, out of respect for Shannon Jenkins. For the 2010 season Bankston Boyz Racing will be pitting beside team Al-Anabi for the convenience of keeping critical personnel close at hand between rounds.

On behalf of Michael Bankston, I would like to thank our fans for their unwaivered loyalty this past race season and assure them that we will continue to strive for excellence in the upcoming season. To our sponsors Mississippi Foundation Repair Specialists, TeaCo Geophysical, Speedtech, Reher-Morrison, Goodyear, Nitrous Express we thank you for your support. People with interests in potential sponsorships are certainly encouraged to contact us through our team’s website, www.bankstonboyzracing.com.

Regards,

Mark Teague
